The measurement unit of the eXp 4000 includes a PC-module with which data is displayed immediately on the full color screen. During the scanning procedure a laptop computer is not required, you can see the results directly on the screen. Advanced technology allows measurements in brilliant resolutions. Measured data is stored in the 256 MB memory and can be transferred later to a computer. Transferring measured values to a computer allows the operator to evaluate and compare all stored data. In doing this the operator can determine depth, size and position of targets using the professional Visualizer 3D software. Iranian treasure hunter finds bronze artifacts in ancient grave
A treasure hunter from Iran sucessfully located an ancient grave with his 3d metal detector eXp 4000 from OKM. Inside the grave he discovered several bronze artifacts like figurines and ancient bells.
Ancient coins metal detected and unearthed in Syria
A large amount of more than 800 pieces of ancient coins has been detected by treasure hunters in Syria. They found the hoard by using the eXp 4000 metal detector and 3d ground scanner. This coin cache is very valuable and the value of each single coin is estimated from 150 - 8000 Euro.
Sassanian sword found by eXp 4000 in Iran

This treasure find is a sword found by a customer from Kermanshah, a city in the west of Iran. The material is a mixture of iron/lead/copper/tin/gold/silver
and antimony. This metal detector find belongs to the Sassanian Empire in the region.
The Sassanid Empire was the last pre-Islamic Persian Empire, ruled by the Sasanian Dynasty from
224 to 651. The Sassanid Empire, which succeeded the Parthian Empire, was recognized as one of
the two main powers in Western Asia and Europe, alongside the Roman Empire and later the
Byzantine Empire, for a period of more than 400 years.
The detected sword has a weight of about 1650 g and a length of 45 cm. The target has been detected by
the earth imager eXp 4000 in the depth about 185 cm in clay soil.
Hidden tomb discovered under church
An amateur actress uncovered the entrance to a 500-year-old secret chamber, which had been hidden for centuries, when she accidentally stamped her shoe through one of the floor tiles at St. Mary's Church, in Redgrave, Suffolk. Just weeks before, a geophysicist had used state-of-the-art ground scan detectors (eXp 4000, Rover C II) to locate the long-forgotten vault. There was just one last thing to do ... finding the entrance.
New historical findings in Syria
Once again customers from the Middle East area informed us about new finds with their treasure detector eXp 4000. The precious ancient artifacts has been excavated in Syria. These very special targets were hidden about 1,20 m underground. The measurements in eXp 4000's Ground Scan mode has been confirmed before digging with the DDV system (visual metal detector system with metal discrimination).
Treasure finds from Balkan area with eXp 4000
Since 1 year the owner of the OKM ground scanner eXp 4000 from the Balkan area is using his locating equipment with many success. He sent us some photos of his findings. Based on his historic knowledge he explored many interesting sites where possible antique treasures could be located. He scanned these areas with the 3d metal detector eXp 4000 and was able to locate many ancient items.
Ancient coins found with eXp 4000 in Greece

A treasure hunter from Greece, who is using eXp 4000, found several ancient coins within an old grave. The treasure contains about 54 coins in three different sizes and motifs. Unfortunately the treasure hunter could not give any details on the age or regional provenance of the coins.
16 kg coins detected with OKM metal detector in Maghreb area
One of our customers from Maghreb in North Africa reported about his successful treasure hunt. He was using the 3d metal detector and ground scanner eXp 3000, the predecessor of the earth imager eXp 4000, when he located some anomalies inside the underground. The customer was searching in very uneven ground and therefor he used the 25 cm GPR probe of his geophysical phase reader to obtain accurate detecting results.
Bottles and spanish silver coins found in Suriname
A small team of treasure hunters from the US has been made a wonderful discovery on the coast of Suriname. By using the metal detector and treasure hunting detector eXp 4000 they located a lot of glass bottles. Furthermore they discovered a spanish sword as well as silver coins.
Ancient door beaters found by metal detector eXp 4000

These ancient door beaters has been detected with eXp 4000 in the Middle East area. The beaters, made of pure gold, were used in ancient times on wooden doors. The targets were buried single in the ground and has been located at a depth of 140 cm. The gold rings were dug up without any patina visible on the surface and are well preserved.

Unexpected discovery in Saudi Arabia
A customer from Saudi Arabia informed us about his beautiful discovery. The treasure has been located by the metal detecting instrument eXp 3000 - the former model of eXp 4000. The treasure seeker informed us about the following discoveries, which has been made: a gold statue, a Nofretete statue and a Pharao statue. There are still lots of hidden treasures which wait to be discovered in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries.
Gold prospector detects ancient gold coins using Earth Imager eXp 4000

A greek gold prospector, metal detecting with Earth Imager eXp 4000, found several gold coins. He told us about his finding during a visit in our company. He located the treasure in approx. 2 meters depth. These ancient coins are very precious, as confirmed by archeologists.
eXp 3000 discovered bullions of the guerillas
In november 2005 some of our customers found a wooden chest filled up with gold bars. Those bullions were buried during the World War II by greek guerillas. The treasure hunters and archeologists used different metal detectors and geophysical instruments like the Earth Imager eXp 3000, the predecessor of eXp 4000.
Earth Imager eXp 3000 detects ancient dagger

This ancient dagger from the early middle age was found in a depth of 60 cm. After unsuccessful searches with different other metal detectors the dagger has been detected with the basic equipment of the Earth Imager eXp 3000. Only the iron blade kept well preserved over all the long time the object was buried in the ground. There is only a small piece left which belongs to the wooden handle of the dagger. The exact place of this discovery is undisclosed.
