eXp 4000, Ground Penatrating Instrument, Metal Detector, Discrimination, Ground Scan

The Earth Imager eXp 4000 is the successor of the eXp 3000. Advanced technology allows measurements in brillant resolutions. The Handling is absolutely easy and possible without the need of a laptop. The measurement unit of the eXp 4000 includes a pc-module which what the data will be displayed immediately on the color screen. All measured data will be stored in the internal 128 MB memory and can be transfered to a normal computer to evaluate and determine depth, size and position of targets with our professional software Visualizer 3D.

The metal detector eXp 4000 has many different functions especially for treasure hunters. So it has:

  • Distinction of metals ( gold, silver, iron )
  • Detection of cavities ( bunkers, tunnels, burial chambers, graves )
  • Intuitive menu navigation with voice output
  • Easy handling and compact equipment
  • No laptop is needed for working

To ease the work with the geophysical measuring instrument eXp 4000 and the subsequently image evaluation the following functionality was integrated:

  • Automatic display of object differentiation
  • Automatic signal stabilization during measurement
  • Automatic antenna identification
  • Pre-filtration of potential mineral structures

The comprehensive equipment of the metal detector eXp 4000 is only one point that makes it a unique treasure hunting unit. Every single probe was optimized for its own purpose. So you can work with the following antennas:

  • GPR-Antenna ( 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm, 100 cm )
  • Antenna for metal discrimination ( DDV system )
  • Antenna for tunnel detection
  • Super Sensor for high resolution ground scans
  • FS-Thermoscan for 3D infrared images

With a weight of only 1500 g the Earth Imager eXp 4000 is ideal for fast searching an area. The integrated color monitor is also usable for night searching. But also in the sunlight the display is very clear in contrast to a laptop.

Here we present you some discoveries, which has been located with this geophysical metal detecting instrument. If you also made a discovery or know somebody who made a fantastic finding with our metal detectors, just write us an email or use our online form!

Hidden tomb discovered under church

Hidden tomb discovered under church

An amateur actress uncovered the entrance to a 500-year-old secret chamber, which had been hidden for centuries, when she accidentally stamped her shoe through one of the floor tiles at St. Mary's Church, in Redgrave, Suffolk. Just weeks before, a geophysicist had used state-of-the-art ground scan detectors (eXp 4000, Rover C II) to locate the long-forgotten vault. There was just one last thing to do ... finding the entrance.

New historical findings in Syria

New historical findings in Syria

Once again customers from the Middle East area informed us about new finds with their treasure detector eXp 4000. The precious ancient artifacts has been excavated in Syria. These very special targets were hidden about 1,20 m underground. The measurements in eXp 4000's Ground Scan mode has been confirmed before digging with the DDV system (visual metal detector system with metal discrimination).

Treasure finds from Balkan area with eXp 4000

Treasure finds from Balkan area with eXp 4000

Since 1 year the owner of the OKM ground scanner eXp 4000 from the Balkan area is using his locating equipment with many success. He sent us some photos of his findings. Based on his historic knowledge he explored many interesting sites where possible antique treasures could be located. He scanned these areas with the 3d metal detector eXp 4000 and was able to locate many ancient items.

Ancient coins found with eXp 4000 in Greece

Ancient coins found with eXp 4000 in Greece

A treasure hunter from Greece, who is using eXp 4000, found several ancient coins within an old grave. The treasure contains about 54 coins in three different sizes and motifs. Unfortunately the treasure hunter could not give any details on the age or regional provenance of the coins.

16 kg coins detected with OKM metal detector in Maghreb area

16 kg coins detected with OKM metal detector in Maghreb area

One of our customers from Maghreb in North Africa reported about his successful treasure hunt. He was using the 3d metal detector and ground scanner eXp 3000, the predecessor of the earth imager eXp 4000, when he located some anomalies inside the underground. The customer was searching in very uneven ground and therefor he used the 25 cm GPR probe of his geophysical phase reader to obtain accurate detecting results.

Bottles and spanish silver coins found in Suriname

Bottles and spanish silver coins found in Suriname

A small team of treasure hunters from the US has been made a wonderful discovery on the coast of Suriname. By using the metal detector and treasure hunting detector eXp 4000 they located a lot of glass bottles. Furthermore they discovered a spanish sword as well as silver coins.

Ancient door beaters found by metal detector eXp 4000

Ancient door beaters found by metal detector eXp 4000

These ancient door beaters has been detected with eXp 4000 in the Middle East area. The beaters, made of pure gold, were used in ancient times on wooden doors. The targets were buried single in the ground and has been located at a depth of 140 cm. The gold rings were dug up without any patina visible on the surface and are well preserved.

Dugout from World War I detected

Dugout from World War I detected

Geophysical investigations with the metal detectors Future I-160 and eXp 4000 over an unimpressive field in Belgium unearthed astonishing discoveries. For 90 years it was hidden deep under the surface of the Belgium ground but now the underground bunker system is explored by british scientists. This is the start of an exciting time travel back into the time of World War I ...

Unexpected discovery in Saudi Arabia

Unexpected discovery in Saudi Arabia

A customer from Saudi Arabia informed us about his beautiful discovery. The treasure has been located by the metal detecting instrument eXp 3000 - the former model of eXp 4000. The treasure seeker informed us about the following discoveries, which has been made: a gold statue, a Nofretete statue and a Pharao statue. There are still lots of hidden treasures which wait to be discovered in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries.

eXp 3000 discovered bullions of the guerillas

In november 2005 some of our customers found a wooden chest filled up with gold bars. Those bullions were buried during the World War II by greek guerillas. The treasure hunters and archeologists used different metal detectors and geophysical instruments like the Earth Imager eXp 3000, the predecessor of eXp 4000.

Earth Imager eXp 3000 detects ancient dagger

Earth Imager eXp 3000 detects ancient dagger

This ancient dagger from the early middle age was found in a depth of 60 cm. After unsuccessful searches with different other metal detectors the dagger has been detected with the basic equipment of the Earth Imager eXp 3000. Only the iron blade kept well preserved over all the long time the object was buried in the ground. There is only a small piece left which belongs to the wooden handle of the dagger. The exact place of this discovery is undisclosed.
