POWER, the HELUKABEL Group customer magazine, has published an informative article about OKM from Altenburg, Germany. The main topic of this report is the geophysical water detector GeoSeeker, that is used by well drillers to detect underground deposits of fresh water.


Geoelectrical water detector and cavity detector for resistivity measurements up to 250 m depth. With this detector you can locate underground water resources, hidden water streams or other water deposits.


Our water detector OKM GeoSeeker, that we handed over in December 2017 to "Aktion Pro Afrika e.V.", a nonprofit organization, has arrived in Mali and already provides successful measurement results during the search for underground water resources. Thanks to OKM GeoSeeker and its deep water detection technology, the water scarcity in Africa is a thing of the past.


In 2014 the team of OKM Emirates FZE (UAE) and its local business partners from GDI - Geological Detection and Imaging (Lebanon) tested the recently announced cavity and water detector GeoSeeker. Supported by an former adviser of the geological department in Lebanon several practical tests were performed in the mountain area of Beirut. In heavy mineralized rocky soil the team was able to detect underground water deposits in a depth of 70 - 90 meters.


The GeoSeeker utilizes a geoelectrical measurement procedure based on Schlumberger to read the soil resistivity. Based on that ground resistance the detector is capable to locate underground water deposits, water-bearing gravel and groundwater level as well as cavities like caves, tunnels, chambers and the like. Thus the geophysical detector can be deployed as water finder or cavity detector at the same time.


Recently we welcomed our longtime distributors Katerina Vardaka and John Karathanasis in our factory in Germany. Both are well known for their reliable cooperation and fair dealings with customers. Beside their business in Athens (Greece) they run another metal detector shop in Sofia (Bulgaria).
