Rover C New Edition - Multi purpose 3d metal detector
The 3d metal detectors of the Rover Series are not only simple metal detectors with audio output. Furthermore it is possible to create excellent three-dimensional graphics of the scanned underground. Due to the approved Single-Sensor-Technology those detectors are optimally applicable for detecting hidden objects.
The Rover C is the standard detector of the upscaled class of measuring instruments and it's based on an electromagnetic pulse method which can be used to select anomalies in the target area.
Treasure hunting never was easier than with the 3d metal detector Rover C. This powerful 3d detector and ground scanner belongs to OKM's famous and well approved "Future Series" and includes all functions which are needed for a successful treasure hunt.
The redesigned 'New Edition' of Rover C includes the following special features:
- display backlight for search at night (on/off switchable)
- built-in LED spotlights to light up the soil surface in the dark (on/off switchable)
- integrated auto reversal electronics to facilitate ground scanning process
- doubled recording speed for rapid scanning on-site
- simplified and optimized menu navigation and handling for starters and professionals with improved scan results
- reduced weight and small size of main unit for comfortable long-term use
- new lightweight small external Power Pack for longer working time and fast recharging
- desert tan colored casing to prevent damages/overheating caused by insolation
- wireless stereo headphones for noiseless metal detection surround sound
- delivered with shock protective, waterproof Peli transportation case incl. wheels and extendable handle for easy transportation
The Rover C has been one of the first metal detecting instruments which was able to perform geophysical and archaeological investigations in high depths and create a three-dimensional graphical image of the underground and its included objects or voids. This multi-purpose metal detecting instrument is able to visualize buried objects under the ground, find metal artefacts like gold and silver, chests, vases as well as voids such as hidden rooms, graves or tunnel systems.
The 3d metal detector Rover C is able to locate the following objects and structures:
- Metal objects like tanks, boxes and pipes
- Voids like grave chambers, caves, tunnels or tombs
- pottery, bricks, underground walls and ruins, buried foundations and other man-made rocks
Because of its easy functionality and practicable handling the detector is specially adviced for all searchers who wants to start up with 3d metal detecting instruments and experience the new technology of 3d ground scanning in a simple way. You don't have to be a professional to use this treasure hunting metal detector. The small and transportable form of the Rover C allows the usage of the ground scanner in different types of terrain. Because of the integrated microprocessor technology ground balance, depth modulation and data storage will be performed automatically by the detector main unit.
Now the Rover C is delivered with a pre-configurated outdoor mini laptop, where the 3d metal detector software and bluetooth data transfer technology is already installed and configurated. No problematic installations and setups are necessary. You can start detecting in 3d right away. The mini laptop with its small size and leight weight you can take anywhere you like. It is specially designed for outdoor activities, bumps and shocks are no longer issues.
Measured data of the Future Series apparatus Rover C can be transfered to any computer or stored temporarily in the internal memory of the detector itself. After completing the measurement the recorded measured values can be analysed in a graphical representation of the 3D software Visualizer 3D. This makes it possible to get exact information about the size and depth of buried materials. Precise object forms and structures are quite visible if enough measured values has been recorded.
Rover C is used by metal detectorists all over the world and suitable for the following hunting tasks:
- 3d metal detection to find buried metals
- basic 3d cavity detection
- 3d ground mapping
- meteorite hunting
- treasure hunting
The following features has been included in this 3d ground scanner:
- acoustical magnetometer to locate metallic objects under the ground
- visual 3d ground scanning
- automatic and manual impulse release
- direct data transfer via bluetooth to PC for real-time view
- 3d ground scan into internal memory
- graphical analysis on PC (measurement of position, size and depth of located items)
Like all OKM metal detecting products, the Rover C has been tested and certified by leading technical experts. It has proven its reliability and powerful performance on-site by many treasure discoveries and metal finds. Convince yourself during a visit in our factory (after appointment only). Try out and test this metal detector to decide if it fits to your metal detecting needs.

Available upgrades for Rover C
Super Sensor: With the optional available Super Sensor the functionality of the Rover C can be improved. The depth performance will be increased compared to the standard probe. It allows 3d area scans with high resolution as well as discrimination between ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Here we present some relevant discoveries, which have been located. If you also made a discovery or know somebody who made a fantastic find with our metal detectors, just write us an email or use our online form!
A group of treasure hunters from Mexico has successful used the metal detector Rover C to locate a buried wooden chest. Inside this box they found many copper coins with very interesting pictures on it. Several scans and the analysis of the 3d graphics of Rover C lead to the amazing treasure find.
This story of Mr. Akis from Greece sounds like a fairy tale. There are some mysterious symbols painted on several rocks in the mountains of Greece and the idea of a big treasure. Based on that signs a thrilling hunt for the cache starts in the heart of the greek mountains. After investigations and field scans with the metal detector Rover C from OKM he located a buried hand-carved stone - shaped like a pig's head. Inside of this stone he found several ...
Customers from Greece proudly informed us about this incredible finding with their geophysical instrument Rover C. Although if non-metallic, the device Rover C located this glas vase as an underground anomaly in the measured area. Determination of position and depth of this ancient target was also possible due to the 3d software program. The vase has been detected in a depth of about 1 m in neutral soil conditions.
A breathtaking adventure recovered a treasure of gold coins with the help of the metal detector Rover C. This coins of gold were detected in a depth of 1,30 m. Because of the extensive distribution of the gold coins in the ground even this great depth was no barrier for the treasure hunters.
During a measurement with the metal detecting device Rover C an antic flagstone with historical relief has been detected. Although the plate is made of stone and non-metallic, the object could be recognized as an anomaly and so easily located. Further fragments of the trimmed rock has been located in the surrounded area of the flagstone.
