Training and instruction for OKM detectors
For each of our metal detectors, 3D ground scanner, ground penetrating radars and geoelectrical instruments we are offering the right training. A training course takes place in the OKM headquarter in Germany. During the training, you have the opportunity to ask your questions at any time, so that our trainers can respond to your specific wishes and needs and adapt the training to your individual requirements.
In order to provide an individual training with the utmost discretion, we ask you to make an appointment before planning your visit. Our professional trainers are looking forward to your request.
During the course, you will get to know the components of your OKM detector and become familiar with its handling. In addition to the theoretical basics of operating a measurement, our professional trainers will also do practical ground scans with you. For this purpose, we have set up a special test field on which various objects were buried.
Of course, we also focus on three-dimensional graphical data analysis and show you how to detect and identify underground objects. Our training courses are planned and carried out in a customer-focused manner. We offer trainings for new customers (when buying a metal detector) as well as refresher courses for existing customers. Our official dealers are regularly given the possibility of a special dealer training at our company. As a result, our sales partners are well trained and are also at your disposal to help with words and deeds.
Instruction in the handling of your detector for conducting a geophysical measurement
Depending on your requirements, we will show you the assembly and commissioning of your metal detector, 3D ground scanner, ground radar or other geophysical measuring instrument, as well as the theoretical basics for carrying out a measurement. Our trainer will explain to you the individual scanning methods and the operating modes of the acquired detector and demonstrate their functionality. In order to apply the theoretical knowledge in practice, we will demonstrate a geophysical measurement at the company's test site.
Then you have the possibility to carry out your own measurement independently. During these practical exercises you will be shown the correct handling of your device (metal detector, 3D ground scanner or other detector) and you will learn to understand the following things:
- the alignment of the probes
- the recommended speed during the scanning
- the recommended accuracy/resolution for best scan results
- the performance of a control measurement
- the calibration of the detector
Our trainer will watch your measurement procedure and will discreetly point out possible errors during the scanning. He is at your disposal with many useful tips and tricks.
Evaluation and data analysis of your geophysical measurement
Another important aspect of our training courses is the evaluation and analysis of the recorded measurement data. The measurement results are displayed on an Android Tablet PC or a Windows computer, depending on the detector. Our trainers will give you basic information about the installation of the 3D software and the drivers and will give you helpful advices on a successful data transfer.
If necessary, we will help you to install the software on your own laptop. In addition to the reproducibility of measurement results, you will also be shown the use of metal discrimination and depth determination.
Effective training for quick results during the treasure hunt
As experience has shown, a successful training will serve you the best basis for future treasure hunts, archaeological investigations and geophysical measurements in the worldwide use. After consulting the trainer you also have the possibility to make recordings during the training, as well as documentation and notes about the handling of your detector. Upon request, we will be pleased to provide you a certificate for the successful participation in a training course. Use our professional service and you will be successful with your OKM detector! Even after the training, our support team is available for any additional questions.
