Mexico is well known for its hidden treasures. Besides the famous ruins of Tenochtitla, an ancient Aztec city, or Chichen-Itza, a historic Mayan city, there are a lot of gold and silver treasures buried deep under the Mexican ground. The search for the lost treasures was a big adventure for one of our customers too, which was worth the trouble. The treasure hunter detected an ancient treasure chest with valuable contents by using the eXp 4000 ground scanner and 3D metal detector. A highlight for every treasure hunter!

The treasure chest was mostly filled with silver coins, whereas some of the coins are still an authorized medium of circulation.

Many thiefs or pirates were hoarding treasures and very often they buried it deep into the ground to protect it against other thiefs. Many of those treasures are still lying in the ground waiting to be discovered.

A treasure hunter from Mexico succeeded to find such a treasure. He was using the eXp 4000 ground scanner and detected an ancient treasure chest filled with coins and other valuable artifacts. The treasure chest has been discovered in a depth of about 1.5 meters.

Besides all the coins there was a silver plate and a wondrous ceramic mask.

Amongst the coins some Mexican Libertad silver coins have been detected, which are still an authorized medium of circulation today. Also historical Mexican coins from former times have been identified. Besides the coins, there was an old rifle, a ceramic mask as well as silver plates and other artifacts. The treasure chest has been discovered near Nuevo León, a federal state in the north of Mexico. The capital city and area with high population density of this region is Monterrey.
